Managing Servers

What you can do inside the VirtFusion control panel.

Once you've opened the VPS panel, you have full access to the VirtFusion control panel at virt.aurorahosts.com. Everything below is done inside VirtFusion — PhotonDash's role is only to get you in.

Server overview

The VirtFusion dashboard lists all virtual servers on your account. Each server card shows:

FieldDescription
HostnameThe hostname set at provisioning
StatusRunning, stopped, or suspended
PackageAllocated vCPUs, RAM, and disk
Primary IPMain IPv4 address

Power management

From any server's detail page you can:

  • Start — boot the server
  • Stop — graceful shutdown (ACPI signal)
  • Reboot — graceful restart
  • Force stop / Force reboot — immediate power cut (use only if the server is unresponsive)

Console access

Click Console on a server's detail page to open a noVNC browser-based console. This gives you direct keyboard access to the server regardless of its network state — useful for fixing SSH misconfigurations or recovering from a failed boot.

OS rebuild

To reinstall the operating system:

  1. Open the server in VirtFusion and go to Settings → Rebuild.
  2. Choose an OS template from the available list.
  3. Confirm the rebuild.

Rebuilding wipes all data on the server's primary disk. Ensure you have backups before proceeding.

Backups and snapshots

VirtFusion supports both automated backups and manual snapshots depending on your package. Manage these under Backups on the server's detail page.

Resource graphs

The Graphs tab shows historical CPU, RAM, disk I/O, and network throughput charts for your server.

Networking

Manage additional IP addresses and firewall rules (if enabled on your package) under the Networking tab.
